Welcome back to another Bhop Timed Event! If you don't know what it is, we select a map from the map pool and participants compete to get the top times. The competition spans throughout the entire month and we will reward the winners with the top 3 times in the selected styles. This Month's Map! bhop_zyper >> This months map is bhop_zyper! We figured to choose this map as it is a bit lengthy, has a nice design, and is not so difficult. We believe maps like this will be appealing to some of our newer players as well as our older players. For this month, we will be looking at times from the "Normal" style, and the "Grapple" style. Rewards ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1st Place: + 1 month of VIP and 5000 credits! 2nd Place: + 1 month of sub and 2500 credits! 3rd Place: + 2500 credits! IMPORTANT!! We will be allowing discord submissions in the new #bhop-event-submissions text channel. If you have yet to join the discord, you can do so with THIS LINK. To make up for a communication gap between Discord and the forums, I will make a reply to this thread with all the current submissions we get on discord and make a post on discord with all the submitted forum times to keep the competition up-to-date and competitive. If you get a better time and want to submit it again, don't make a new post. Edit the post of your original submission to be up-to-date with your current personal best. We check the times for rewards at the end of the month, so you have no need to worry about not getting your best time checked. BE SURE to include the screenshot that comes with you completing the map like the one shown here: If you do not do this, your time will NOT count. You are free to submit a video, but that is not necessary. The contest will span from 3/1/20 - 3/31/20. Any times submitted afterward will NOT count towards the contest. Did you not read the rules / faq we have for TTT?????? Also players should not be killing detectives who are in the T room. The only reason players get killed for being in there is that they are suspected to be a traitor as only traitors can only open it. Obviously a detective cannot be a traitor so they were not able to open it. This is TTT not JB, it is not called a KOS area nor are there KOS areas. Literally right here: Before trying to spread false "loopholes" or rules take a look at the rules and faq.

The reason around this idea for GMOD TTT is because the TTK and difficulty to kill players was high. Compared to CSGO TTT with most weapons you can one-shot headshot players without armor. This would be easily overshadowed by several traitor items and just general weapons on the ground. The M4A1s, awp, usps, and hell, even the golden knife in itself would do so as an item like this actually requires aim. To miss a shot would become a waste of the credit that I would prefer to spend on a healthshot, armor, radar, and other items.

Not sure why everyone is getting so heated about this. The krieg is a gun provided by the game developers, not us. Retakes does not perfectly replicate an actual retake situation that occurs on comp matches. There are too many variables that occur to do so. But this is not the place to complain about the gun's overpoweredness, go make a forum or get enough people to protest about it to valve. There has been plenty of times in MM, faceit, and ESEA that I've seen 5 stacks of kriegs or 3-4. Either join them and use the krieg or not, that's on you. There's other ways to make things even without putting a nerf specifically onto the weapon. Majority of the other retake servers I've been on give a CT advantage with players and nades. Play around with that and see what happens. It is not a matter of countering the gun but countering the T side. That is the bigger issue on our retakes server, the weapon only adds onto it.

There’s no concerning issue, just it seems when bhopping you bolt to the ground a lot quicker and cuts your velocity

My main worry with trying to run the event like this is the lack of dedication from those in playing the match or even showing up when they are not on a team with their friends. I know you suggested that if a team gets knocked out their players are open to be “traded” but would this not cause for some people to throw their matches? What you (@Inveal) and @Phoenix_ brought up do seem interesting. So before the next SGSL I’ll throw up an interest thread to gauge more thoughts from the community on which idea they would prefer to participate in and actually compete.
