Send the quarterly update posts out as a newsletter to registered email addresses so that you can call on a player base that's already familiar with the community and hopefully bring back some familiar faces. User retention rates aren't exactly the best around here so use the tools we have to remind people we exist and update them on improvements and the general happenings of the community. I'm pretty sure Nishok or one of the other TAs will know how to set up a mail server that you can run this off of. If not hit me up and maybe I'll do it out of kindness.

I agree it's a half measure at the moment but the words you used for your example won't exactly get you demonitized on the major platforms yet although excessive use can be annoying. If anything this is probably the just the start. If you rush into something like this you'll piss a lot of people off at the same time. If you slowly take them away the backlash is minimal.

Whether or not you agree with the decision the fact remains that this is a step towards being a more inclusive and mainstream community. How is marketing supposed to do their job if people who may be interested in running sponsored events or something come on the servers and hear a bunch of socially unacceptable language? In terms of pushing the community itself forward this is one of many hard decisions that has to be made if this place wants any actual success in the current social climate.

Let the "I thought we were better friends than that" games begin. Can't wait to see who snitches on who when they get upset.

Voted for Alex because he's my favorite out of the group Also voted for ZZL only because he reminds me a little of myself and others that have popped up here over the years. You can tell he clearly cares about the community and wants to see it do well. Hopefully he has more patience than myself and the others I have alluded to so that he can see it through.

Used to be one of the more popular gamemodes in source. Yes arms race is a mode on go but I would think they ported the mod from source as well. If we do this please include classics such as funtimes iceworld or shotty
