Hey guys,

 

I wasn't sure if I should post this as a bug or just a QoL suggestion.. so here we are (As I am really not sure as to how many people with might affect)

The old forums sat at https://steam-gamers.net/forum/forum.php

The new forums sit at https://steam-gamers.net/forums/

 

 

Everyone who has a hyperlink/shortcut to the old forum url will first be greeted with a certification error, then directed to a 404 page.  Might be worth directing people away from the old URL

Move the "players" and "Current map" above the map, and capitalize the "p" in players. Additionally, Skill Surf and RPG FFA have ? for their current maps.

Make the "Who Was Online" closeable, it's very large and a bit unnecessary

 

Make Senior Server Admin to just Server Admin

 

Add the events and technical team under "Team Leaders" here https://steam-gamers.net/staff/ 
and possibly fix BoM and Infinityward's roles under their section

Forums look good overall but I feel like the margins need some fixing. IMO everything looks a bit cramped and some of the text wrapping looks a bit awkward which might overall be because of the font size. 

 

Such as here and the latest posts column

It's a bit straining on the eyes and overwhelming because of how big everything is, especially the forum section. It might be my own bias because I'm used to the old forums. I don't want to go comparing to other forums either but if you compare it to other sites, SG's sizing is really big and hard to read and scroll through.

I feel like the server graphics should be removed or changed to text graphics it doesn't fit with the overall flow of the forums.

I would swap latest topics and posts on the main forum page sidebar

 

Shouldn't Senior Server Administrator be changed to Server Administrator since there is Junior Administrator?

Is the main forum page supposed to look like it's zoomed in to 150%? It seems like my mother's browser defaults.

Can we add awards back? I'm not sure if you guys either deleted them or haven't gotten to it yet, but I miss my awards

 

Also I'm on mobile right now and I can't see the rank titles under people's names, would like if that was added.

make it so you can insert a video from a file, like inserting a mp4 file into your signature or a post

New forums look great! But, is there anyway to revert to the old thanking system because with this new one not only do you have to hover over to see the amount of people who thanked it but you can't even see all of it you can only see "and (set amount) have thanked this post."
