I can see how this could be interpreted as a KOS order but I think in this specific situation I wouldn't know how to classify this. I mean what do you expect he was going to do, he literally said if you want to die take a step out of sauna. Normally this would be a warning shot at best but this rate situation is a bit of a gray area. The guy coulda just not left sauna and this thread wouldn't have been made. @Manny thoughts on this small guy?

I view timestamps as more of a courtesy for the CAs. I don't think it needs to be required but when someone uploads a long demo it would be nice to have specific time stamps of the rule being broken and context to go with it.

Go to "Stats" in the upper right hand corner, click on the server that you are looking for and search for your name. Click on "Sessions" and you will be able to see each time you joined the server and for how long.

This has been discussed multiple times. There is currently a restriction for new players on our server to wait 25-30 minutes before being able to play on CT. It is not so much a derailer of mass fkers and more of a tool we implemented to allowed people who truly have no clue what is going on to get a feel for JB before hopping straight into CT. If you do see someone mass fk and no admins are try and catch a demo and make a player complaint and one of our fine CAs+ would be happy to take care of it

You actually want your most important files housed on your HDD. The issue with SSD while incredibly fast, are finite. When you buy one it tells you how many writes it can do before it shits the bed. A hard drive can in theory infinitely write to the disk without breaking an SSD is more finite if your constantly writing files to it and can last a year or two depending on the use you put on it. HDDs can last decades and are more "will it break?" Where am SSD is "when is it going to break?". I have HDDs from when I was 13 that have important information on them that I store in my closet that I can plugin anytime and works perfectly for the time period it was made in. Also it's common practice that you should really only put your OS and most used games on the SSD because it's writes are finite and you want to squeeze as much life out of it as you can. Every time you save a file to your SSD is just another tick mark to it's death.

My only issue with the E mechanic is that it is not reliable. If I try to go make a play for a gun and the e button doesn't register me picking up the gun(which if you've played enough comp you have undoubtedly run into this issue) I am fucked no way around it. I'd rather have gotten fucked knowing I went for the play got the gun and missed my shots rather than my small window was destroyed by the crappiness of the e mechanic. The JB team will discuss this as personally it's probably the best solution ive heard so far for this argument but would definitely need to be tested and a lot of work would have to go into it to make every map current and future compatible. @Darnias look out for a message from me in the foreseeable future on this once I've discussed it a bit with the team.

Someone needs rcon to be able to execute the lo3 and settings configs to do that and nobody has rcon except ATs

This has been answered multiple times and unfortunately there isnt a good solution to this issue. Coupled with the fact that it's not a common every round occurrence our best advise is to get away from the guy with the gun if you don't want to die. Even if your supposed to be frozen you can't be straight gunned down for moving away though you may take some warning shot damage but better then getting gunned down in my opinion.

The JB team has a few ideas on how we want to implement this. It's not as simple as just thinking about it as there are currently no plugins that fits the direction we want to go in terms of incentivising players to play CT and not just kill whore. There is a lot going on with others server/forums so this has taken a bit of a back seat but we haven't forgotten about it.

While in theory that works, how long do you think a CT who gets banned multiple times cause he knows what he's doing is going to continue to play on our server. Likewise we'd become the "server you get banned from for doing good" it's definitely possible and theres ways to get proof but I know if I got banned twice from a server because I know what Im doing I won't be coming back to that server a third time. Also the time it takes for someone to go look up the demo watch it and make a determination is unfair to the person who got banned because he's a good CT. Also what if he freekilled every single round before but the round that he got banned happened to be a legitimate kill. There is too much context involved that an automated system can't take into consideration.

A lot of bans are situational and an automated system wouldn't be able to determine what was legitimate and what wasn't. Also if someone appealed one of these bans we'd have no way of defending if they actually freekilled or not since there would be no proof.
