As trazz and scrolls mentioned, it would be easier to click the thread and find the dates there. we make sure most if not all events have “When” and “Where” in big bold letters so you can quickly find that info and dont have to read the additional information paragraph that comes along with event posts. As for the calendar, we are trying to use that more often since not many people know about it. From what i heard at the community meeting, there wont be any major changes made to the forums because the new forums are coming soon so hopefully the calendar there is more noticeable so that everyone can stay up to date with events. We also have a steam group that notifies you of events which zzl kindly linked above.

Everyone always complains about certain cosmetics interfering with gameplay, specifically the minecraft head on JB and TTT. I think it makes sense to allow players to be able to turn off some of the remaining cosmetics like hats and masks in the store settings the same way aura’s and particle trails etc. can be turned off.

If you don't know how this works here's a quick rundown. Admins will be on CT to help run the event. Participants will be on T side and switched over as well as teleported to the knife arena for their matchup. The bracket will be chosen randomly on the day of the event as people show up. There is no sign up for the event other than joining the server at the time and date posted below. We will be taking 48 participants max. If you are participating, it would be appreciated if you listen to instructions as well as avoid rebelling and trolling so that the event can run smoothly. What server did you have this idea for @Mealtedmeister?

I was thinking of having multiple rounds similar to how the show Forged in Fire is done. Round 1 would be something like the basic foundations for a map in the first hour, then everyone would be judged and scored on that part. Round 2 would be making the map functional and have another round of scoring. Round 3 could be polishing everything up and having it be fully functional and maybe have the maps scored based on how they perform in game. This is purely a suggestion, I don't know too much about map making so if this style was to be adopted the main goal of each round and the round times would be picked by Damon or whoever's judging the contest if the example above isnt realistic. Either way, this sounds like a great idea and a fun way to get new maps on the servers.

what if someone joins the discord but doesnt have a forum account? If it’s possible with the bot you’re suggesting would they be given a “guest member” or “player” role or would it have to be done manually by CAs?

there is a /tts that is built into discord on desktop which admins have access to but I believe it can be given to lower ranks/roles as well. My biggest "concern" with completely switching from teamspeak to discord is that people will just make their own private servers instead of using the main one whether it's to VC or casually chat. This was sort of brought up in the meeting and I think Dominic said he hopes people wouldn't make private servers to sabotage the main one. There are many private servers owned by SG members and I don't think any of them were created with the intention of sabotaging the main one. If it was more convenient to create private servers rather than private channels in teamspeak I'm sure it would happen too. Realistically, I would say its more appealing to create your own server and invite your friends than to make one of the proposed private channels in the main discord for a few reasons. I don't think anyone has an issue with trying to improve the discord server and making it a more active place for the community but getting rid of teamspeak right off the bat doesnt seem like the right thing to do, especially with how preferred it is by a lot of the community.

the JB managers are working on a new LR plugin to replace the current broken one, from what ive been told gun toss should be back when they implement it along with other LRs

There are a good amount of events going on rn, all of which can be found here. With server events like for jb we try not have those events too often as they do get repetitive and we recently had a protect the president and juggernaut event. TTT is a difficult gamemode for events that change the structure of how the game is played so thats up to the managers. Hide and seek was done for about 3 weeks in October I believe and it was our MGT for February. As John said through BoM we have multiple events planned for the upcoming weeks to make sure you are not bored in quarantine. In the meantime, wash your hands yo.
